Frequently Asked Questions
How Strong is Our Fabric?
Our fabric is the latest in protective fabric technology. Using an innovative combination of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and other technical fibres weaved by special high-density knitting machines. Making the fabric extremely strong- 5x stronger than steel.
The fabric's properties makes it very hard to penetrate, protecting against slashes of sharp objects and prevents bites. Very few items can penetrate our fabric, but please note, bruising might occur on the skin from impacts. The fabric we use is design to prevent to be slash proof, e.g. protect against punctures to the skin, but the fabric is not designed to absorb the impact of the entire force, for example bruising may occur if there was a situation. The fabric used is similar to that in bulletproof vests, which has more absorbing properties than our coats. These are heavy and not flexible, which is impractical and are designed to absorb high impact objects like bullets. If you have any worries if your dog has been involved in an attack or something similar, please consult your vet immediately.
Will the fabric be too heavy for my dog?
Not at all.
Our fabric weighs the same or less than it's nylon counter parts, yet it's property is stronger than kevlar.
Is the fabric waterproof, breathable and machine washable?
Yes, the fabric is waterproof and breathable and machine washable. Take care when washing the garments and there will be no need to proof the fabric after washing.
All our products have a care label sewn within the garment, so it is easy to follow.
Please note, sometimes after washing the you might notice the fabric has a few 'bobbles' in places. This is totally normal for this type of fabric, because of how the fabric is knitted in the factory. It does not affect the strength of the garment.
