Dog Bed Care

Prolonging Your West & Jones' Dog Bed

Our dog beds are made with probably the strongest fabrics on the market, currently, but does not mean our beds do not need care.

Steps to Prolong your Dog's Bed

The velvet layer, should be washed regular to keep your dog's sleeping area as clean as possible. A care label is sewn to each layer of the bed for an easy guide to washing.

Especially, in winter we would always recommend removing all the cover layers and giving them a wash and letting the mattress layer air, at least monthly.

The mattress layer should be flipped regularly, to prolong the life of stuffing and to allow air to circulate within the mattress.

If you place the dog bed in a crate, especially a crate with a solid base, the dog bed will need to air more regularly. The walls and base of the crate will be cleaned regular along with the bed to prevent dirt, bacteria and mould forming on the bed.
