Commonly Asked Questions (Fabric)

How strong is the fabric?

The fabric used is a high performance fabric made from an innovative combination of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and other technical fibres weaved by special high-density knitting machines. Making the fabric extremely strong- 5x stronger than steel.

The fabric's properties makes it very hard to penetrate, protecting against slashes of sharp objects and prevents most bites. The fabric can prevent penetration into the skin, but bruises might occur on the skin from impacts. The fabric we use is design to prevent to be slash proof, e.g. protect against punctures to the skin, but the fabric is not designed to absorb the impact of the entire force, for example bruising may occur if there was a situation. The fabric used is similar to that in bulletproof vests, which has more absorbing properties than our coats. These are heavy and not flexible, which is impractical- thus comprising on the coat which will function as a shield to prevent events that are more likely to happen to your dog, e.g. cut, scraps and bites. If you have any worries if your dog has been involved in an attack or something similar, please consult your vet immediately.

Is the fabric safe against my dog's skin?

The fabric has been tested against human skin and it's pH level is similar to water (usually between 6.5 to 8.5). This makes it an extremely low risk for skin irritations.

Is the Fabric Heavy?

The fabric has been made to be light weight and flexible compared to it's other competitors, e.g. Kevlar. Making it perfect application for dogs clothing and coat.

It naturally keeps to a stable temperature, thus we added a fleece lining for insulation.
